Description

Mary Free Bed and Grand Valley State University co-sponsor a neurologic residency program with 4 primary components. The resident rotates through 4 clinical rotations with expert clinical mentors in their respective areas- inpatient rehabilitation rotations on the Brain Injury, Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury Team and outpatient rotation with general neuro patients with a focus on vestibular diagnosis. Residents also spend focused time as a lab assist at GVSU in their neuro labs and completing mixed didactics from MFB/GVSU and iKT. The final component is evidence integration and this takes place throughout the resident through resident led journal club and case review as well as through completing a scientific inquiry project with mentoring through GVSU.
