Description

Siskin Hospital started an ABPTRFE accredited Neurologic Residency program in 2020 and is now in its third residency cycle. The residency program aims to provide advanced education and clinical experiences to clinicians who desire to treat neurologic patients with the highest standard of evidence-based care. After completion of the residency, the therapist is qualified to sit for their Board Certification as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Siskin’s Neurologic Residency Program currently has a 100% graduation rate and NCS pass rate. Each residency cycle lasts for one year and includes rotations on the stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, and outpatient units. During that time, residents complete didactic coursework through the Institute of Knowledge Translation, receive weekly 1 on 1 clinical mentorship, and participate in other research, shadowing, and community involvement experiences.
