Residency Description: The UPMC Rehabilitation Institute Neurologic Residency Program is one of five physical therapy residency programs offered by UPMC. The Neurologic Residency Program focuses primarily on honing the resident's clinical skills to allow them to become a clinical specialist in the field of neurology. While in the program, the resident will rotate through inpatient rehabiliation, acute care rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation which wil provide them with advanced training in neurologic examination, decision making and evidence-based intervention techniques. Additionally, the residents are hired as adjunct faculty with the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Physical Therapy, instructing and mentoring their Doctor of Physical Therapy students.
